Evaluating abdominal pain based on the classic “abdominal quadrants” does not always work in women presenting with chronic abdominal and pelvic pain. Learn about the 4 major categories of pain involving hormonal GYN, non-hormonal GYN, GI and other associated pain. Endometriosis, fibroids, ovarian cysts, adhesions, cancer, interstitial cystitis, IBS, IBD, celiac disease, fibromyalgia and more.
After completing this activity, the learner will be able to:
- Understand hormone cycle-related pain
- Understand pain secondary to gynecologic conditions
- Learn treatments for chronic pelvic pain in women
