Healio Bronchiectasis and the Vicious Vortex: Transforming Care Through Targeted Interventions
Bronchiectasis is a complex and increasingly prevalent condition often overlooked in clinical practice, with frequent overlap with other respiratory diseases such as COPD and asthma. Persistent airway inflammation, chronic infection, and mucociliary dysfunction drive disease progression, leading to significant morbidity and healthcare burden. As the clinical burden of bronchiectasis becomes increasingly recognized, there is an urgent need to better understand the underlying mechanisms of neutrophilic inflammation, alongside efforts to improve early diagnosis and explore current and emerging treatment options that target this vicious cycle.
In this activity, a panel of leading pulmonologists tackle the evolving challenges and emerging opportunities in bronchiectasis management.
