The renowned course faculty represents the specialties and all are actively involved in caring for pregnancies complicated with fetal cardiac abnormalities.

This course provides a broad review and dialogue on fetal echocardiography and should be extremely helpful to physicians and sonographers involved in prenatal diagnosis and in caring for children born with congenital heart disease. We hope that you will join us.

    Educational Symposia – 28th Annual Breast Imaging and Interventions Update – October 30 – November 1, 2026

Core competencies defined by Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) for radiology training include patient care, medical knowledge, interpersonal and communication skills, professionalism, practice-based learning and improvement, and systems-based practice. (Collins) This program is designed to promote ongoing learning and development of these core competencies.

The educational need for this course was ascertained from several sources. Feedback on questionnaires from prior UCSD Breast Imaging courses has indicated a need for radiology courses that offer a focused curriculum emphasizing common pathologies, differential diagnosis, interventional procedures, and emerging technologies.
The mammography accreditation requirements set forth by the American College of Radiology (2009) requires that interpreting physicians meet the minimum MQSA qualifications including 15 category 1 CME credits in a 36-month period.

This course emphasizes the lecture format to convey maximal information to the participants. The lecture format also includes a case presentation and discussion. The course is supplemented by question-and-answer sessions because different learning methods tend to suit different doctors and different identified learning needs. (Grant)
Expert faculty opinion has also identified a need for training in detailed breast histology and pathology correlation, MR indications and protocol design, and multidisciplinary breast care, based on new findings published in the literature, our own research, and our extensive experience teaching at various training levels locally, nationally, and internationally.

World Class CME – Survival Skills for Women’s Health Fall 2026 Experts Teach Menopause

“Women reaching the average age of menopause today were not yet 30 when the Women’s Health Initiative (WHI) reshaped care in 2002. At that time, perimenopause was largely unrecognized, and even today, training in midlife women’s health across nursing, medical school, and residency remains insufficient.

This comprehensive course provides state of the art, evidence based education on the care of women in perimenopause, menopause, and beyond. Sessions are designed to deliver practical clinical insights, actionable strategies, and real world pearls for daily practice.

Key topics include hot flashes and night sweats, sleep disturbance, hormone therapy risks and benefits (including testosterone), weight gain/obesity and osteoporosis management, mood and cognitive changes, low libido and sexual dysfunction, vaginal dryness and dyspareunia, and nonhormonal treatment options for all of these.

Lectures and interactive Q&A sessions are led by a multidisciplinary faculty of recognized experts in gynecology, primary care, breast health, psychiatry, dermatology, obesity medicine, sexual medicine, neurology, physical therapy, and nursing.

Attendees will leave with immediately applicable knowledge to improve patient outcomes in midlife women’s health. We look forward to welcoming you to an exceptional educational experience in Washington, DC.”

  • University of Colorado Anschutz – Diploma in Climate Medicine – Disaster Resilience and Response

Hybrid Learning including asynchronous online content (35 hours), virtual sessions (9 hours), and in person education (2 days).

Climate change, recognized by The Lancet as the “biggest global health threat of the 21st century,” is intensifying wildfires, hurricanes, and extreme weather events that degrade air quality, disrupt communities, and lead to widespread illness. These shifts strain the social determinants of health, with climate-related effects resembling an emergency department triage list: heat-induced fainting, respiratory issues from pollution, vector-borne diseases, and trauma from extreme weather events. This course delves into the root causes of climate-driven disasters and equips participants with strategies for disaster response and resilience planning including vulnerability assessments and climate action plans.
