Topics Covered

With 150 cases of children with burn injuries that you can repeat 5 times, participants wil be exposed to a variety of images that display the spectrum of presentations of both accidental injuries and those that are suspicious of an abusive injury. Since this is an active learning experience with an evidence-based model of learning, you can expect significant knowledge gains after just one hour of practice.

Learning Objectives

1. Master accurate identification of pediatric burn injuries that are suspicious for a diagnosis of abuse versus those that are more likely due to an accidental mechanism.
