A renowned faculty focuses on the mitral, aortic and tricuspid valves, with newest techniques and strategies for imaging and intervention. Worth up to 15 AMA PRA Category I Credits™, this enduring material meets Echo Lab CME requirements. Additionally, physicians can earn up to 15 ABIM MOC points for this activity.

Topics Covered

15 AMA PRA Category I Credits™. Meets Echo Lab CME Requirements! Accredited for 15 ABIM MOC points!

Learning Objectives

1. Apply echocardiography to assess the severity, mechanism, etiology, and hemodynamic impact of the many types of valve disease, including mitral regurgitation, mitral stenosis, aortic stenosis, aortic regurgitation and tricuspid valve disorders.

2. Assess the most recent innovations in structural interventions and describe their clinical use.

3. Translate new guideline criteria on imaging into current decision-making regarding structural valve interventions, medical treatment and surgical valve repair/replacement.

4. Utilize echocardiographic imaging for imaging before, during and after interventional procedures, closure of periprosthetic leaks, valve-in-valve repair, left atrial appendage closure and tricuspid repair.

5. Provide an update on multimodality imaging techniques, including 3-D echocardiography, fusion imaging, strain imaging, MRI/CT as well as contrast echo.

6. Describe clinical methods to diagnose diastolic dysfunction and manage disorders such as heart failure with preserved ejection fraction, cardiac amyloidosis, complicated pericarditis and hypertrophic cardiomyopathy.
