Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, the participant will be able to:

• Identify structural abnormalities of the fetal central nervous system, spine, face, heart,
  abdominal wall, genitourinary and gastrointestinal systems, thoracic cavity, extremities,
  and posterior fossa.
• Apply tips for screening for congenital heart defects, analyze the 4 chamber view and
  outflow tracts.
• Understand the approach to screening for and describe the sonographic features of
  placenta accreta spectrum.
• Demonstrate understanding of prenatal screening and diagnosis, and ultrasound findings
  associated with genetic syndromes.
• Learn how to identify different types of twin pregnancies across the trimesters and
  understand unique complications of monochorionic twin pregnancies.
• Understand the role for fetal interventions in managing open spina bifida and
  complicated twin gestations.
• Demonstrate diagnosis and risk stratification of the growth restricted fetus, including
  doppler assessment.
• Understand the imaging work up of ambiguous genitalia.
• Improve skills in the proper imaging evaluation of a patient with chronic pelvic pain.
• Learn how to use O-RADS classification system for assessing adnexal masses.
• Learn how to perform an ultrasound for evaluation of the pelvic floor.
• Identify expected appearance of urethral slings and associated complications.
• Develop an approach to acute pelvic pain in nonpregnant patients.
• Understand the complementary role of Ultrasound and MRI in Gynecologic Imaging
• Review first trimester pregnancy lexicon and recognize early normal and abnormal
  embryo development in the first trimester.
• Recognize imaging features of abnormal located ectopic pregnancy.

Target Audience

Obstetricians-gynecologists (OB-GYNs), radiologists, sonographers, radiologic technologists, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and certified nurse midwives who use ultrasound imaging in caring for their female gynecology and obstetric patients.
