HERmedicine – The Midlife Women’s Health Summit: Evidence-Based Menopause Care in the Era of Longevity Medicine – November 20-22, 2026

The Midlife Women’s Health Summit is three days of evidence-based education on menopause care as longevity medicine reshapes how patients think about aging. Sessions cover perimenopause, MHT prescribing, cardiometabolic and bone health, sexual health, and breast cancer risk and survivorship, with case-based discussions led by faculty who separate what the research supports from what’s being sold. Co-chaired by Lisa Larkin, MD, Jen Gunter, MD, and Lauren Streicher, MD, with faculty spanning menopause, cardiology, psychiatry, and oncology.

Held November 20–22, 2026, at The Ritz-Carlton in Washington, D.C. Worth 18 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™, accredited by CineMed

Learning Objectives

1. Evaluate the physiological and hormonal transitions of perimenopause and menopause, applying evidence-based, individualized approaches to MHT prescribing (including novel non-hormonal targeted options) while critically appraising USPSTF guidance on hormone therapy for primary prevention and longevity.
2. Apply validated breast cancer risk assessment tools and current screening guidelines to identify high-risk women and implement appropriate prevention strategies.
3. Analyze the cardiometabolic changes of midlife—including nutrition, microbiome shifts, insulin resistance, and weight gain—and integrate female-specific CVD risk stratification with updated lipid and obesity pharmacotherapy guidelines.
4. Develop a lifetime framework for bone health, including risk assessment across the lifespan and appropriate sequencing/initiation of anabolic osteoporosis therapies.
5. Differentiate menopause-related mood, sleep, and cognitive changes from primary psychiatric or sleep disorders, and evaluate current evidence on whether MHT protects against cognitive decline.
6. Update contraceptive counseling strategies for perimenopausal patients, integrating current evidence into practice.
7. Diagnose and manage common sexual health concerns in midlife, including GSM, dyspareunia, and HSDD, using both testosterone and non-testosterone treatment approaches for arousal and orgasmic dysfunction.
8. Articulate core breast cancer oncology concepts (pathology, staging, treatment) relevant to women’s health clinicians, and coordinate evidence-informed menopause symptom management for breast cancer survivors and high-risk patients.
9. Critically evaluate emerging trends and commercial claims in longevity and hormone-related medicine, distinguishing evidence-based practice from hype in midlife women’s health care.
