The Osteoporosis Compendium is comprised of 28 courses. You may select courses that suit your particular needs or interests. Earn a Certificate of Achievement upon the successful completion of 5 courses. You may earn up to 5 Certificates of Achievement. Complete ALL 28 courses and earn the Compendium Certificate of Advanced Study.
After completing this course, you should be able to: assess risk factors and disease burden associated with the development of osteoporosis and fractures and diagnostic methodology to improve screening and diagnosis; evaluate the bone remodeling process to determine the impact of resorptive/catabolic pathways and anabolic pathways on osteoporosis and fractures; analyze how osteoporosis and fracture prevention therapies impact the pathophysiology of bone health to reduce fracture risk; formulate successful osteoporosis and fracture prevention and treatment regimens that include current antiresorptive/anticatabolic and anabolic agents; and assess the potential role of emerging osteoporosis and fracture prevention and treatment regimens in patients at risk for or with osteoporosis, when these agents are approved by the FDA.
