By the end of this activity, attendees will be able to:
- Outline steps to take to mitigate heart failure symptoms in patients
with obstructive hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) and apply these to
an example patient - Contrast the strengths and limitations of medical and invasive therapies
for heart failure symptoms in patients with obstructive HCM and
apply appropriately to sample patient data - Summarize contemporary management strategies for heart failure
symptoms in patients with nonobstructive HCM - Recognize the signs of the advanced heart failure stage of HCM and
employ appropriate management strategies for sample patients - List strategies for treatment of atrial fibrillation in patients with HCM and
utilize these on an example patient
