After participation in this activity, the learner will demonstrate the ability to:

• Recognize the importance of early diagnosis and intervention for patients with Neurotrophic Keratitis (NK)
• Describe risk factors, clinical manifestations and complications of NK Identify screening and clinical procedures useful in differential diagnosis of NK
• Review conventional supportive care and surgical interventions utilized in the management of NK
• Describe the MOA, efficacy, safety, and clinical considerations of newly approved and emerging pharmacotherapies for managing NK
• Develop management plans for NK that would work towards mitigating disease progression and promote corneal healing

Upon completion of this conference, participants should be able to:

• Describe the various social factors at play that have historically influenced patients’ abilities to receive optimal ophthalmic care
• Discuss specific barriers to care for demographics preferentially affected by Diabetic Retinopathy and Diabetic Macular Edema
• Define health disparities in ophthalmic care, and public health interventions to improve ophthalmic care
• Explain risk factors for inadequate anti-VEGF treatment utilization and subsequent outcomes
